  • Can Google break into the Ghana market?

Can Google break into the Ghana market?

Mobile phones are a necessity and something many people cannot live without, so it is important that you have the best tool available and you can do all the things you need to do on your phone to the best.

One phone that is trying to break into the top end of phones across the world is the Google Pixel series. As that ambition is one that is progressing well for the company, they are yet to break into the Ghanian population. With a country full of CFD brokers, they are missing out on a great phone that is a snip of the price of other high-end phones.

What phones are popular in Ghana?

With many brands dominating the smartphone market it can be a real minefield to decide which is the best smartphone for you. However, in Ghana here are the top ten brands that regular Ghanaians decide to go for:

    1. Samsung
    2. Apple
    3. Nokia
    4. TECNO
    5. Infinix
    6. iTel
    7. Huawei
    8. Xiaomi
    9. TCL
    10. LG

As you will see Google is not on there and even some smaller companies take the place of it. So can Ghanaians take to the Google Pixel and make it one of the popular brands?

    The Google Pixel

The Google Pixel has been on a journey since the first Pixel came onto the market as just a cheap phone and Google encountered many issues with the phone. However, since Pixel 4 came onto the market there has been an increase in quality and more people purchasing the Google product.

With Google Pixel 6 currently on the market as the latest flagship phone, it has managed to challenge the likes of Apple and Samsung for trying to take the mantle as the best flagship phone.

    Why choose it?

With the Google Pixel 7 on the horizon, the 5 & 6 will more than likely become even cheaper than they already are. Pixels are known for being cheaper than other phones on the market but they are still able to offer the same punch as many other phones such as Apple.

One big draw to the Pixel is the camera and battery life. With one of the best cameras on the market, both selfie and rear camera, it is hard to look past it. Then there is the battery life which can last you all day even if you are playing videos, music or snapping pictures all day.

Can it break into the top ten?

There is no reason why Google cannot break into the Ghana market and be outselling many other phone products along the way. With the ability to connect to other Google products with ease, the people of Ghana really should be looking to grab either the Pixel 5,6 or wait for the 7 and see what they have been missing out on!

Some may think that with a name like Google it will be an expensive product but it is not and you will certainly be able to afford it.

  • The best Ghanaians to play in the English Premier League

The best Ghanaians to play in the English Premier League

The English Premier League is full of the best talent from all over the world. One area where players have really shined in the Premier League is Africa. With the likes of Yaya Toure, Didier Drogba, Sadio Mane, Mo Salah and Riyad Mahrez.

However, Ghana has had plenty of excellent talent make their move to the Premier League and prosper in the harsh English game. So who are these talented individuals that have done the Black Stars proud?

    Michael Essien, Chelsea

You could log in to most betting sites in the UK and place a bet on Essien scoring a goal from outside the box with ease as the midfielder was able to smash a ball home from miles out and find the top corner leaving the opposition goalkeeper flailing or stranded as the ball crashed into the net.

Probably the most successful Ghanian to play in the Premier League in terms of medals as he picked up two Premier Leagues, a Champions League, a League Cup and four FA Cup winners medals during his time at Stamford Bridge.

    Asamoah Gyan, Sunderland

He may have only spent just over one season in England (he played three games in 2011-12 before moving) but Gyan was a vital player for Sunderland in the 2010-11 season and his ten league goals ensured that the team finished 10th that year amid a big relegation battle between many sides.

He did not win any trophies but the Sunderland fans enjoyed his presence in their side especially off the back of a successful World Cup with Ghana in 2010.

Sulley Ali Muntari, Portsmouth & Sunderland

A teammate of Gyan’s at Sunderland but he would make his name with Portsmouth in England during his solitary season with the coastal club. He did so well in his only season with Portsmouth that the might of Inter Milan came knocking for him to replace Patrick Vieira.

He did not leave England empty-handed as he picked up the FA Cup under Harry Redknapp’s tutelage. Muntari was key in the semi-final win over Manchester United as he scored the only goal of the game.

    Tony Yeboah, Leeds United

The goal of the season man himself. Yeboah had every single rocket goal in his pocket and he proved it. With his volley against Liverpool and his smash against Wimbledon, he was a regular feature on the goal of the month nominations.

Yeboah is a cult hero in Leeds having made 66 appearances for the club and scoring 32 goals across all competitions. Around 1995 school children in Yorkshire could be heard screaming his name as they unleashed their own “Yeboah Strike”.

Jordan Ayew, Aston Villa, Swansea City & Crystal Palace

The tricky winger has been playing in the Premier League for most of his career. He has been quite content in the lower sides of the division and proving very useful, chipping in with many goals during his time in England. The winger has 29 Premier League goals.
