Shortcode to check BECE School Placement

In the past, students could send their index number to the shortcode 1060 to check their CSSPS School Placement. However, that method does not work any longer, you might waste your credit when you try it.

    CSSPS placement checker

Checking of your CSSPS Ghana results has over the years become an easier task.

Now, the candidates are able to check their results at the comfort of their homes. Not only that, you can check your results regardless of where you are in the world at that moment using your computer.

    The Ghana Education Service has given different ways in which you can check your CSSPS placement results. They have outlined two methods of checking your WAEC Ghana placement;

    1. You can check your results online using a computer.

    2. You can check using Google Chrome Browser on your mobile phone.

How to check BECE Placement Online on a mobile phone or PC

    In order for you to check your CSSPS placement online, follow the steps below;

The first step is to ensure you have the placement checker, which we will be selling when it is available.

    • Ensure that you have access to a computer that has Internet access.
    • Using your computer, visit the CSSPS result checker online portal
    • Proceed to enter your BECE index number. It should be 10 digits. And also your year of examination. For example, if your index number is 1234567890 and the year of your examination is 2024, this is what you will input: 123456789020
    • On your checker, you will get a serial number. Enter the serial number found on top the scratch card in the field designated for it.
    • Enter your PIN (Personal Identification Number) that will also be found on the scratch card you had purchased.
    • After you are done, you then click submit. Be patient and wait for the results window to pop up.
    • If you are successful, the CSSPS placement checker print form option will appear. Click on print to print out your form.

The process is not, however, completely fault-proof.

You might experience some problems when going through this process.

The most common problem is when you submit your details but the system seems not to recognize your details. So when messages like this pop up “Sorry the Index Number, Scratch Card Number/PIN Number does not exist. Please look carefully and retype.

Do not panic you will get the placement form eventually. Try again using the same scratch card. Do not be tempted to buy another scratch card because the fault is not on the scratch card.

Some of the reasons you might be experiencing challenges printing your admission forms include:

    • Large number: When a lot of people are checking their results on the website, it slows down. Therefore, you shouldn’t panic but just be patient.
    • Withheld results: You might also experience challenges if your results were received later than others. If the results are withheld, you can get them later so keep checking until you have them.

    Why check JHS placement early?

There are several reasons as to why you should try and be the early bird when checking the placement results.

    • You get to know early the school you have been posted to This will help you plan ahead. Planning ahead is very important because you may have been placed in a school that is far from your home and you will now have to go early and give them your placement form as you get the requirements for joining the school.
    • What if the school you have been placed in is not to your liking or does not offer the course you want? It is important to know early on if the school they have picked for you is the one you want and if it is not, you can start finding alternative options before it is too late.
    • What if you feel that they were unfair in the placement late on? This is a very disheartening situation. Checking early will ensure that you are ready for whatever outcome and that you will be able to sort those issues early on.

  • BECE Self Placement 2024/2025: Steps to do Self Placement into SHS

BECE Self Placement 2024/2025: Steps to do Self Placement into SHS

The Computerized School Selection & Placement System aims to place BECE candidates who have chosen schools into their choice of Senior High Schools.

Whenever school placements are released, some unfortunate students have to go through a manual process to place themselves in vacant schools.

How the Computerized School Selection & Placement System (CSSPS) Works

The CSSPS works based on data collected from JHS students who have registered for the BECE. The students are allowed to choose 5 different schools that they will like to be placed in.

The Schools are grouped based on categories that have been set by the Ghana Education Service (GES). This is to enable an even distribution of choices and to give “smaller schools” the chance to be selected.

Once the system has this data (selection of schools), the system now uses the BECE results of the candidates to place them.

This is done by using the candidate’s aggregate score from 6 subjects for the selection process. These subjects are the 4 Core
(English Language, Mathematics Social Studies, Integrated Science) and the best two elective subjects.

Students are then automatically placed in an SHS on merit, based on their aggregate results, the programmes they chose, vacancies in the chosen SHS, and availability of boarding facilities for those who chose it.

  • How To Delete Read-Only Contacts On Your Infinix & Tecno Phones

How To Delete Read-Only Contacts On Your Infinix & Tecno Phones

Finding it hard to delete read-only contacts from your phone? Mfidie guides got you covered.

After reading this tutorial, you will be able to delete any stubborn read-only contact that’s stuck on your Android phone. Keep reading to learn everything you need to know about deleting read-only contacts.

Why Read-Only Contacts are Hard to Delete

To know this, first, what are read-only contacts? A read-only contact is a contact that was saved to your phone by an app. These apps are often related to 3rd-party communication apps.

Meaning you did not save this contact manually by yourself. These read-only contacts could have been saved by apps like WhatsApp, Skype, Messenger, or similar apps.

This then causes these contacts to be saved on your device’s storage temporarily and as a result they cannot be deleted from your phone like normal contacts. However, these contacts will be available on the Contacts app on your phone, making us find ways to get rid of them.

    Methods to Delete Read-Only Contacts

In this tutorial we will show you different methods you can use to delete read-only contacts. You can use one of these methods and if you are lucky enough all of these methods may work for you.

Method 1: Use Google Contacts App

If you have the latest android phone, the Google contacts app comes pre-installed. If your android does not have it pre-installed there’s no need to worry, you can download it here.

Now follow this steps to delete the read-only contacts:

    1. Open your browser and go to contacts.google.com.
    2. Sign in with your Google account if you haven’t already.
    3. You’ll see a list of all your contacts saved in the Google Contacts app.
    4. Scroll down to find the specific read-only contact you want to delete.
    5. Click on the ‘More Actions’ icon (usually represented by three dots) located on the right side of the contact.
    6. A dropdown menu will appear. Select the ‘Delete’ option from the menu.
    7. A new popup will appear, asking you to confirm the deletion. Click on the ‘Delete’ button to proceed.
    8. Finally, sync the contacts on your phone, and you’ll notice that the read-only contact is no longer there.

Method 2: Unlink Contact from the App

    visit Franco Tecno phones

For method two to work for you, it will be based on your android version. This will be for the latest Android Pie or 9.00 and Android Oreo or 8 versions. Follow these steps to see how it will work for you:

    • For Android Pie or 9.00
      • Open the Contacts app on your device.
      • Scroll down to find the specific contact you want to delete.
      • Tap on the ‘menu’ or ‘more’ icon (usually represented by three dots) on the screen.
      • From the dropdown menu, select ‘View Linked Contacts’.
      • In the popup window, tap the ‘Unlink’ button to remove the contact from any linked profiles.
      • Now that the contact is unlinked, find it again and tap on the ‘More’ or ‘Menu’ button.
      • Choose the ‘Delete’ option.
      • Finally, confirm the deletion by tapping the ‘Delete’button in the popup menu.
    • For Android Oreo or 8
      • Open the Contacts app by tapping its icon.
      • Find the contact you want to delete.
      • Tap on the ‘more’ or ‘menu’ icon to reveal the dropdown menu.
      • Select ‘View linked contacts’ from the dropdown.
      • Tap the ‘Unlink’ button.
      • Confirm the unlinking by tapping the ‘Unlink’button again.
      • Now, tap on the contact once more.
      • Finally, choose the ‘Delete’ option.

This method will delete any read-only contact from your Infinix or Tecno if you use the Android 9 or 8 versions.

    Method 3: Uninstall the App

Read-only contacts are related to third party communication apps. So, to get rid of them, the trick is to delete the related app i.e. WhatsApp, IMO, Messenger etc.

The uninstall will cause the read-only contacts to delete from your android phone and you can install the app once again. This method works pretty well to get rid of read-only contacts from your phone.

Can Read-only Contacts come back after deleting?

This normally happens when you don’t delete the contact from the phone contact list, and as a result it syncs to your Google account. So as provided by our Method 1, you should delete the read-only contact completely before you sync the contacts on your phone.

    Conclusion

Read-only contacts can be a hassle to delete from your android device, however by using our provided guide you can easily delete them and have your phone’s space cleared up. If you find this post helpful, share with others and do not forget to leave your questions in the comments section below.
