GhanaWifi: Get Unlimited Home Internet For GHS 150 Per Month

The internet today has become the number source of information & entertainment to each and everyone operating in any field of work. Whether you are a lecturer, a student, business owner, internet entrepreneur or a 9 to 5 worker, you cannot do without the internet. With the migration of labour from human-intensive to machine labour, a lot of people turn to rely on the internet for their daily life activities.

As a business owner, you will need an internet connection to send and receive those important business emails, likewise, an employee will like to refresh his or her mind from the hard day boring work by watching the latest Netflix shows when back from work. All these require an internet connection.

Being in a developed country, you can worry not about internet accessibility. But unfortunately, being in Ghana, you need to spend much to have the internet connectivity package that you want. There are different internet packages provided by service providers in Ghana.

Most of these packages are acquired at a higher price with less data allocation. A lot of internet users seems to be looking for other alternatives for internet packages and this is what today’s post is about.

We have recently discovered a new ISP that we think is worth sharing to our cherished or potential readers. There is this new company which has come to add up to the internet service providers in Ghana. The name of the company is ghanawifi.com.

As the name indicated, this company is solely into providing home and business internet connectivity to anyone who is in need of affordable internet service for his or her activities. Located in the capital city of Ghana, GhanaWifi.com has two different plans you can opt for.

Each of these plans also comes with a sub-package that you can choose to subscribe. With the lowest home plan being GHS 150 per month with unlimited internet connectivity.

    Why Ghanawifi?

With the rise in the price of internet data bundle in the country, the GhanaWifi according to them is here to allow you to stay connected without worrying about data running out.

We’ve seen and heard of people complaining of their internet speediness in their localities. The ghanwifi.com connectivity promises a minimum speed of 5 to 10Mbps to its users and this we think should be a good start for anyone who is streaming or downloading from his/her home or office connection.

    How does it work?

The GhanaWifi service is currently based on installation and setup for anyone who is interested in the service. What this means is that, before you can have access to the service, you’ll have to opt for a plan (home or business plan).

Once you opted for a plan, then the GhanaWifi team will come to set up and install the connectivity device for you at your chosen destination with a one-time setup fee of GHS 350. This setup fee is independent of the monthly subscription fee.

How can I subscribe for a package?

After a successful installation of the service device at your Resident or business premises, you will have to subscribe for a package before you can begin to enjoy the service from this company.

The service offer varies from one plan to another, with the lowest one going for just GHS 150 per month. Below are the pictures of the available plans with the package each offer.

    Home Plans

    Business Plans

What Am I Getting When I Subscribe For a Package?

Unlimited Internet: once you subscribe for a package, you get connected without uninterrupted unlimited internet.

Value for Money: according to GhanaWifi, you get more value for what you pay for. That you also achieve more for less with their unlimited, high-speed internet suitable for your home office or small business needs.

Customer Support: In today’s business world, customer support is key. There should be someone who is readily available to help at the time you need that help. Ghanawifi is preaching that they will resolve any issues you may have in the shortest possible time once you are on their service offer.

What Can I Use The Subscribed Package For?

Unlimited Downloads: The monthly subscription is unlimited and this means you can download whatever you want without the fear of exhausting your subscribed bundle.

Internet TV: Enjoy all your favourite online TV show on Netflix, HBO and the rest with the Ghanawifi monthly unlimited subscription.

Online Gaming: Don’t be held back by data coated internet. Stay connected with your fellow online gaming competition until you win.

Can I opt for the service from anywhere within Accra?

Unfortunately, No. Information we gathered shows that service is currently available at two areas within Accra. Thus East Legon and Spintex.

However, as with most Internet Services, it will be prudent to call them to find out if your area is supported.

They are however putting in plans to extend the service to cover other areas within the capital and Ghana at large.

  • Pepapa.com Review – Ghanaian online marketplace | Buy & Sell

Pepapa.com Review – Ghanaian online marketplace | Buy & Sell

When was the last time you visited a classifieds site? As someone involved in tech, I tend to be very interested in online classifieds and I’m here to talk to you about Pepapa.com – A Ghanaian online marketplace where you can buy & sell.

According to Pepapa’s about page, their aim is simple: To empower everyone to be able to buy and sell without any difficulties.

This they do by giving both sellers and buyers a platform to post and search for goods and services. Currently, there are about 12 different categories of products and services ranging from electronics to real estate and jobs.

I checked through some of the classifieds and although they were not as many as one would expect from a big classifieds site, they sure are quality.

I didn’t find or flag any of the iPhones on sale as suspicious like I have seen on some other platforms over the past few months.

Well, let’s dig deeper into the review and see all that Pepapa.com is about.

    Website Design

Pepapa has both a website and a mobile app (for android and iOS). For the purposes of this review, I would be focusing primarily on the website, with a look at the mobile app later on.

One thing I love about every service that I have used is that it took me zero time to get used to the interface and functionality and Pepapa does this very well. The website follows good intent practices by making sure there is a search bar on almost every page, unlike some others that we have seen in the past.

What bugged my eyes were a few stretched images when I visited on my PC, however, it looked very organised on my phone.

One other thing I liked about the design was how fast the website loads overall. On the average, I got a load time of 2 to 5 seconds and this was confirmed via a pingdom test I did.

The harmonious purple, orange and white colour scheme is bright enough, sort of to keep you “alert” when on the site. As a fan of everything dark mode, I am looking at more websites giving that option although that is currently not a thing anywhere.

    Focus

Pepapa is an online classifieds marketplace for Ghanaians and as such, people should be able to buy and sell there.

However, everyday people do not need to sign up to view classifieds listing and it is good that the platform maintains this industry standard.

For those that want to post their ads, they can do so as a single person (personal account) or as a Company/Brand Account.

    Signing up

One of the things I hate is to sign up for new services. For a classifieds site, I would expect to just go straight to posting my ad without the need for long sign up forms.

On Pepapa.com, that is possible. Once you click on the “sell” sign at the top right of the screen, you are ushered to a new page where you list your ad and add your seller information.

What I like about it is that it is straightforward and simple. However, fraudsters may take advantage of it if there are no measures to combat that.

For those who want to create a full account first, it’s calming to know that it was very simple to sign up for a personal account on Pepapa.com

Note that you only need to sign up if you are looking to post ads. In my case, I wanted to explore the process and maybe list my Pixel 2 XL when I get a Pixel 4 😀

There are a range of adverts that can be posted and/or viewed on Pepapa.com. See them below:

    Classifieds categories on Pepapa.com

    • Phones – Tablets
    • Food & Agriculture
    • Jobs
    • Events
    • Vehicles
    • Electronics
    • Real Estate
    • Home-Furnitures
    • Animals & Pets
    • Fashion & Beauty
    • Services & Industries
    • Art – Sports

    Resources

A differentiator that Pepapa offers which I am yet to see on the other platforms is the access to information and other resources to both sellers and buyers.

For example, I glanced through the hints page which can be found here and there were videos and articles on primarily tech advice and lots of how-tos that are very beneficial. It can be seen as the Pepapa blog.

There is also an entertainment page with entertainment news, although there was only one entry on that page at the time of publication.

Pepapa also has exclusive special deals and tips for businesses.

    Credibility

When it comes to online services where cash is involved, it is important to know that it is run and managed by competent and credible people who are not just out to take your money.

Pepapa.com in itself is credible and registered in Ghana. As they are running a 2 sided market place, the credibility of their sellers also matters to them. This is why according to the CEO, the conduct checks on all ads posted on the platform, flag suspicious ones and flag them for further action.

This is to ensure that buyers are safe at all times. Don’t forget to check out these tips if you are transacting on an online classifieds site.

    Final Words

If you are a seller looking to post your online Ads, you should definitely consider using Pepapa as it gives you more reach and you don’t have to pay to be on there, like other solutions on the market.

For buyers, knowing that you will find credible ads saves you a lot of time and stress and Pepapa offers more than just classifieds, by also providing other online resources that you may need.

The Top Online Ecommerce Shops In Ghana You Can Buy From

Ecommerce shops in Ghana are now getting much better and powerful. With the increase in demand for digital products and the rise in peoples’ trust in the online business, a lot for online shops has been created.

Unlike years back, when most people fear to buy things online.

Today, people feel ease to key their credit cards on the internet stores to purchase any goods they want with a high percentage believe that they will get their products. We have seen the coming into being of many online shops in Ghana for the past years. Each day, new Ghanaian online shops are being created and these stores offer a wide variety of products that anyone from Ghana and beyond can buy have it shipped to wherever he/she stays in Ghana.

The like of Jumia and that of Kikuu has been the talk of the day. Most people feel like these two popular stores are the only shops in Ghana that offer great products at a cheaper price. But little do they know there are others that can compete with these stores. In this post, we are going to look at these Ghanaian owned online shops you can buy from. So without wasting further time lets dive to the point.

Below are some of the online stores you can buy from in Ghana:

    • Jumia
    • Kikuu
    • Zoobashop
    • Superprice
    • Melcom Ghana

Now let’s look at these sites in details. What they sell and how you can purchase from the site.

    Jumia Ghana

Jumia is currently one of the leading online shops in Africa selling all categories of products. It has operations in almost all the Africa countries including Ghana. Jumia Ghana has grown to the stage where all their products can easily be accessed from every corner of the country.

With its best delivery method and supportive staff, customers turn to love them most. If you are from the capital city, you can use the Jumia food section to order food and get it delivered to your location within the city.

    Kikuu

Kikuu is a Chinese based store with operations in Ghana. Kikuu has been one of my favourite stores for online shopping. the products offer on this shopping site are amazing because of the price, the time taken to get the goods in Ghana, and the payment method used for buying items. A lot of people have fallen for this site also.

The Kikuu shop is well patronized by students and unemployed graduates. Most students use this site for their benefit. I got to know of this site way back in 2016 when I was in the university through a female friend. This friend of mine by then knew of this shop which she uses to make some decent amount of money on campus.

During that time, the store was not all that popular among the students. So most people who were aware of it bought products at cheaper prices and then sold them to their colleague students at a profit margin. What makes Kikuu the best is the fact that they have their agents all over the regions and district capitals of Ghana.

Once you shop on this store, you are given a tracking page most especially when you use the app. With the tracking, you get to know the status of your order at any checkpoint.

    Zoobashop

Another great e-commerce shop in Ghana that has been in the system for some time now is the Zoobashop.

It offers products ranging from home appliance, phones, groceries, food and drinks, beauty, fashion, baby products, books & games, kids and toys. This site was once among and still belong to the largest market online shop in Ghana.

Zoobashop has a well define product categories which allows you to easily navigate through the site to find what so ever product you want. Check the site here to see for yourself.

    Melcom Ghana

Melcom shopping Centre is not a new deal to many since they are already familiar with their local brick and mortar stores. Every ordinary Ghanaian knows of this shopping Centre.

Melcom in its quest to be among the business that serves customers both online and offline created the Melcom online shopping Centre.

This online shop serves as the digital presence of the Melcom Shopping Centre. On this shop, you can easily order goods and service that you could have order offline when you visit the physical shop outlet.

Thanks to the internet and the coming into existence of the Melcom online shop, today you can sit in the comfort of your home and order these same products then get them delivered to your home with no extra cost.

    SuperPrice

Just like zoobashop.com, the superprice online shopping site also offers great products that you can easily add to your cart. electronics products and other items such as cloths include the Zoobashop.

The website has a wide variety of items such as smartphones, Men’s Fashion, Women’s Fashion, Kids & Baby Fashion, TV Audio & Video, Home & Living, Beauty & Perfumes, Sports & Fitness, Landline Phones, Books & Other Categories.
