    Difference between Infinix Hot 6 and Infinix Hot 6 Pro

    The two phones have a lot in common.

    They both come with the same 6-inch HD+ capacitive touchscreen with 720 x 1440 pixels in resolution.  They are both bezel-less with stunning displays as well. This means you get the same visual experience with both smartphones, there’s no difference here.

    When it comes to the Camera, both the Hot 6 and Hot 6 Pro sport dual 13MP + 2MP rear shooters are and 5MP front camera. No differences here too.

    When it comes to performance, the Hot 6 and it’s pro counterpart are both are powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 chip, a Quad-core processor clocking at 1.4GHz, offering fast performance. The Adreno 308 graphics processor runs everything relating to graphics here.

    Features of the Infinix Hot 6 and Hot 6 Pro

    Design and Display

    Infinix maintains the trend of making recent smartphones in the market with a slim bezel and compact design. The Infinix Hot 6 and Hot 6 Pro still belong to the budget category with a plastic design peculiar to this sector of the market.

    It appears long due to the 18:9 aspect ratio with close to maximum utilisation of the space up front. Two rear cameras are arranged at the top left corner of the smartphone while the fingerprint sensor is towards the centre with Infinix logo below it.

    There’s a not too crisp display in place with dark bars surrounding it and little bezel to the side.

    To be honest, the Infinix Hot 6 won’t multitask heavy apps swiftly, with just 2GB RAM and running on Oreo which takes up almost 1GB of RAM. The Infinix Hot 6 Pro may be able to multitask heavy apps smoothly with 2GB of RAM.

    You should go for the Hot 6, only if you’re a user of light apps but if you want to take things further, the Infinix Hot 6 Pro is highly recommended.

    Tecno and Infinx are undoubtedly taking over the African scene in terms of popularity and user base. We do a side by side comparison of the two flagships released by both phone manufacturers in 2017.

    Today, based on the out of box specifications, we look at the Tecno Camon CX (aka Tecno C 10) versus the Infinix S2 (aka Infinix Hot S2, Infinix S2 pro)

    Launch Dates

    The Camon CX was launched in Accra on 27th March 2017. It took more than a month for the Infinix S2 to be launched. The Infinix S2 was available for sale in Ghana a month later, with the launched on 26th April 2017, at Amphitheatre at the University Of Ghana, Legon.

    Security Features

    Both the Tecno Camon CX and the Infinix S2 have fingerprint sensors for security at the rear of them. This enables them to easily be unlocked, with the Infinix S2 claiming to have an unlock time of 0.2 seconds.

    Operating System

    As you would expect, both phones run on the Android operating system. The Tecno Camon CX is however on an Android Version of 7.0 (Nougat) with Tecno’s customised HiOS. The Infinix S2 does not match up to the CX in this regard as it languishes at Android version  6.0 (Marshmallow).

    The Tecno Camon CX works on a 2.0 GHz Octa-core (Helio P10) processor; the Infinix s2 pro features an MTK – a 1.5GHz MediaTek MT6753 Processor, also Octacore.

    The Infinix S2 pro (a.k.a Infinx Hot S 2) is the latest in the long streak of Infinix phones to hit the Ghanaian Market and it is the Infinix Hot S’s direct successor. The Infinix S2 Pro X522 is the first phone by manufacturers Infinix with dual camera setup on the front.

    One great feature you would have to look out for on the phone is the front facing dual camera that promises to deliver “Wefies” to the user. The phone has both a 13MP front camera and an 8MP front Camera. The latest Infinix S2 Pro’s 13MP huge lens was made for wide angle selfies called “Wefies” and the 8MP smaller lens for normal selfies. This means that the Infinix S2 Pro X522 has been built to support selfies by groups otherwise referred to as “wefies”.

    The new Infinix S2 Pro X522  has a 5.2-inch 720p display, same size as the  Infinix Hot S –  with 2.5D dragon trail glass and is powered by a MediaTek  MT6753 Octa-core processor with 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage expandable up to 128GB via MicroSD slot.

    The fresh Infinix S2 Pro runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow with Infinix  XOS v.2.1 out of the box. It looks good to get the Android 7 update too. The phone also boasts of a fingerprint scanner which is located at the back of the phone, just above the Infinix Logo and below the rear camera flash. There has been no improvement in the area of battery life as it comes with a 3000mAh, same as the Infinix Hot S.
