How To Withdraw Bitcoin Through Your MTN Mobile Money Account

Bitcoin is the first and most expensive cryptocurrency in the world, currently priced around 8,500 USD per coin, translating into over 47,000 Ghana cedis.

Few people who understand the value of bitcoin in Ghana, have invested in bitcoin. Some people have also opted for bitcoin payments for their services.

However, one of the big challenges associated with owning bitcoin in Ghana or Africa as a whole is withdrawal.

Elsewhere in the US and some European countries, holders of the coin are able to withdraw bitcoin through specialised ATMs associated with various Crypto exchange platforms.

In Africa however, there are no such ATMs. So the only way available to owners of bitcoin is online crypto exchange platforms.

There are few platforms online for selling and buying bitcoin in Africa but we can only recommend some few which we ourselves have used in the past.

So, some of them include Ecurrencu4u.net, Paxful.com, Payplux.com, and remitano.com.

How To Withdraw Bitcoin Through Ecurrency4U.net

Ecurrency4U.net promises to be the biggest and most successful crypto exchange platform in Ghana.

They have a huge stock of bitcoin and cash so you can either buy from them or sell to them.

So let’s look at the steps involved:

    1. Visit the site and register for a user account.
    2. Login to your account
    3. Click Sell Ecurrency
    4. Select Your preferred mobile money platform as your payment method
    5. Enter the amount you want to sell in Dollars
    6. Enter the mobile money you wish to be paid through.
    7. Enter the name on the mobile money account
    8. Click on submit. You will receive an order number and you will be redirected to a payment gateway for the e-currency you are selling to the company.

Upon successfully transferring the coin to them, you get notified. And then you receive the money in your mobile money account in not more than 1 hour.

  • How to Backup and Restore Your Contacts on MTN SIM Card

How to Backup and Restore Your Contacts on MTN SIM Card

On the MTN Backup Service platform, customers may save (backup) and recover their phone and SIM contacts. These services provided by MTN enable each user to randomly back-up and restore their contact anytime they want.

Once you sign up for the MTN Backup service, all of your contacts saved on your SIM and phone will be transferred to your MTN online account.

These contacts remain safe, so the excuse “I’m sorry, I lost your contact” will no longer be an acceptable defense.

You can retrieve all the contacts and SMS backup on the MTN backup service, which is amazing since anything might go wrong with your phone or SIM, including theft or damage, and you receive a new mobile device.

The MTN service provider also bi-weekly (every two weeks) automatically backs up all of its subscribers’ contacts in the belief that a person should update his or her contact list at least once every two weeks.

This, in my opinion, is a great technology. All MTN subscribers can backup up to 200 SIM cards and up to 5000 mobile phone contacts, respectively.

Methods for signing up for MTN backup service

If you have been ignoring the SMS from MTN that asks you if you want to back up your contacts, no problem. However, if you decide that you now want to back up your SIM and phone contacts, I will give you two ways to achieve so. There are essentially two methods for signing up for the service.

    1. Access your SMS menu.
    2. compose a text message with Start in it.
    3. submit it to 307
    4. patiently await an answer from the MTN online account service
    5. On your phone
    6. Access your menu
    7. Decide on MTN Service.
    8. Decide on MTN Backup

Then watch for a reply message. If you’re still having trouble, call the MTN online customer assistance center at (181) or (18O).

NOTE: It is important to keep in mind that any type of mobile device may be registered with the MTN backup service, including SMS and Contacts, with the exception of Windows OS users, who can only back up their contacts.

    Restoring a backup contact

Typically, after you register, you’ll receive an SMS with a piece of login information that includes your username and password, allowing you to access your backup contact.

You’ll need to enter your login information to log in. You can utilize the Don’t have an account yet or the Forgot your Password options if you accidentally did not get them or are likely to have forgotten them.

What is the cost of MTN’s backup service?

The MTN backup service has a fee; at the time of registration, you will be charged GHS 5, and then GHS 2 every two weeks. This price is charged regardless of how many contacts you back up, that is, each time MTN updates the backup service.

Can I ask MTN to stop providing backups for my contact?

You can stop using the MTN backup service at any time you choose by sending an SMS with the word STOP or UNSUB to 307. The service is not required.

    Conclusion

That is all about How to back up and restore your contacts on MTN SIM Card. We hope this post helps you to back up and restore your contact.

President Nana Akufo-Addo has lifted the partial lockdown on some parts of the country which was necessitated by the spread of the novel coronavirus.

This makes Ghana one of the first countries worldwide to ease restrictions on movement during the pandemic.

Addressing the nation in a televised broadcast, the President said the lockdown will be lifted from 1 am on Monday, April 20.

Accra, Tema, Kumasi and Kasoa, had been under a partial lockdown for the three weeks in which period Ghana’s coronavirus cases have risen to 1,042.

The president said the ease of restrictions was “in view of our ability to undertake aggressive contact tracing of infected persons” among others.

He also cited the enhancement of testing capacity, increased local production of PPEs and “the severe impact on the poor and vulnerable.”

Despite the lifting of the lockdown, Ghana’s borders will remain closed.

The ban on social gatherings of more than 25 persons is also still in place.

The Ghana Health Service is supervising the completion of a backlog of laboratory samples which have been picked for testing as part of the COVID-19 testing exercise. This is after some 57,000 samples have already been successfully tested as at April 15th 2020. In the first batch of this backlog, an additional 198 have been found to be positive. This will bring Ghana’s total case count to 834 at the moment. The general public is however advised that this does not represent new infections that are occurring. It represents results from tests of a backlog of samples.

The laboratories have been working day and night to test this large number of samples. Hopefully in the next few days all the testing would be completed.

Total samples tested so far now stands at 60, 916 with 1.37 % testing positive. The results of these backlog of samples when released does not mean the number of new cases recorded on the day of the report. Regions that have reported cases are Greater Accra, Ashanti, Eastern, Northern, Volta, Upper East, Upper West, Central, Western and North East.
