  • Top 3 Spying Apps in Africa

Top 3 Spying Apps in Africa

In recent years, the landscape of mobile usage in the African region has transformed rapidly. Three-quarters of the population have a SIM connection, and almost a third of mobile users have a smartphone. According to a recent report on the region, “World Bank data indicates that around 40 per cent of the population in the region is under the age of 16, a demographic segment that has significantly lower levels of mobile ownership than the population as a whole. Future growth opportunities will increasingly be concentrated in rural and low-ARPU (average revenue per user) markets, as well as younger demographic groups.”

With the rising trend of mobile adoption and acceleration of the transition to mobile broadband, parents need to be more vigilant about the online activities of their kids. What are kids doing with their digital devices? To whom have they been calling or texting? What are they posting on social media sites? If you have all these questions running through your mind, getting a mobile spying app to monitor your kid’s phone is so far the best solution.

Prevention is better than cure, and these apps might help save your child from paedophile, stalkers and stop cyberbullying. Mobile spying apps work in a complete stealth mode, fetch all the information off the target phone you want to monitor, and display that information to you through a web-based control panel. Of course, these spy apps are not freely available. If you find any free spy app, beware it’s a SCAM! You have to pay to get tabs on your kids’ activities. Here we have mentioned the top 3 spying apps, and the ranking is based on the pricing, features, compatibility, and ease of functionality.

    Xnspy

Xnspy is the first on our best spy apps list. It’s complete monitoring software that can keep you updated on your kids’ activities in real time, even if they are away. Therefore, you need physical access to the device. Xnspy will be installed within 5 minutes, and it will take a few hours to gather the information from the target phone. You can simply log into your Xnspy’s web-based account to access monitored phone’s data anytime, anywhere. Call logs, text messages, installed apps, photos, videos, and almost every possible thing can be accessed through Xnspy’s online portal.

Here are the powerful and distinctive features that make Xnspy the best spying app:

  • NIA Online Registration pressure causes official website to shut down

NIA Online Registration pressure causes official website to shut down

The National Identification Authority has been forced to shut down its official website as Ghanaians jumped onto the portal to register for their national identification cards.

The Authority announced on Friday that the website https://register.nia.gov.gh is temporarily unavailable for public usage, explaining, “the site has seen unusual traffic occasioning its temporary shutdown.”

A check by Mfidie.com shows that indeed the site is no longer working as at 9:51pm on Friday 17th May, 2019.

According to the statement, the portal was meant to be launched formally when all the operational and technical components are ready, but following the announcement by NIA’s Executive Secretary about the possibility for people to register there, its usage went up.

The National Identification Authority has kicked start a national exercise to get a national ID card for every Ghanaian. The project is ongoing in some selected districts in the national capital, Accra.

The exercise has been characterized by long queues as a huge number of people troop to the registration centres.

“It must be pointed out that an applicant who fills the registration form online will still go through the interview process at the registration centre. For the avoidance of doubt, we restate the registration process below,” the NIA stated.

Before a Ghana Card is issued, an applicant must go through the following steps:

    1. A registration official interviews the applicant and assists him/her to fill an application form with the required personal details. An applicant who fills the form online will only be interviewed.
    2. An MRW operator then keys in personal details of the applicant from the completed application form and scans any other additional documents (other institutional ID’s – SSNIT, DVLA, Voters ID etc.) that the applicant may have.
    3. The MRW operator also captures the applicant’s biometric data (fingerprint, iris & photograph) as well as his/her signature.
    4. A printed slip specifying the information captured is given to the applicant to confirm that the information captured is accurate before the card can be printed.
    5. The card is printed, after which the applicant is required to authenticate his/her fingerprints with a verification officer to render the card activated.

“We apologize for any inconvenience caused.”

“Meanwhile the NIA has seen on social media the circulation of a link purporting to inform the general public “on steps to get your card at the office instantly” and thereby directing people to this link http://bit.ly/RegisterGhanaCardOnline. The Authority wishes to disassociate itself from this link and accordingly cautions the general public.”

  • TECNO Spark 3 (2019): Price, Specs, Features and Best deals

TECNO Spark 3 (2019): Price, Specs, Features and Best deals

The TECNO Spark 3 is finally available, after a long wait from Tecno fans, especially the youth who the Spark Series is targeted towards.

The Tecno Spark 3 is available for sale in 2 variants:

    • A 1GB with Android 8.1 Oreo (Go Edition) and
    • A 2GB with Android 9.0 Pie

The phone shares a lot with its predecessor, the Tecno Spark 2, however, the software upgrades to the Spark 3 will be appreciated by those switching over.

    https://mfidie.com/tecno-spark-4-2019/

    Tecno Spark 3 Specs

    • Display: 6.2-inch, IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen, 1520 x 720 pixels
    • OS: Android 8.1 Oreo (Go Edition) / Android 9.0 Pie
    • Processor/RAM: Quad-core MediaTek MT6580 CPU with 1GB RAM / Quad-core MediaTek Helio A22 with 2GB RAM
    • Front Camera: 8MP selfie camera and 13MP rear camera
    • Rear Camera: 13MP + 2MP rear cameras
    • Storage: 16GB built-in storage, up to 32GB with a memory card
    • Sensors: Face ID & Fingerprint sensor
    • Battery: 3, 500mAh Li-Ion battery

First Impressions of the TECNO Spark 3

The big display counts as our first impression. The Spark 2 had a 6-Inch, which Tecno had to expand to 6.2-Inch reducing down on the bezels. This gives an advantage to more content viewership and screen display sharing.

The build is beautiful. Tecno pulls it off with poly-carbonate plastic that can be mistaken for glass and was finalized with a granite-like finish. In terms of feel in the hand, the Spark 3 feels quite good in the hand and it’s a light phone.

We applaud Tecno on polishing the HiOS on topped UI for the Android 9.0 Pie mobile OS.

With the AI tech integrated into the Spark 3, it happens to fully optimize the phone’s performance, brights up your videos and photos, best for detection among others.

    https://youtu.be/L6W1zXMjgmo

Features of the Tecno Spark 3

    Design and Display

A quick look at the front of the Tecno Spark 3 shows the all popular notch design. The notch houses the front camera, microphone and a few other sensors.

What’s good about the Notch on the Spark 3 is that it can be controlled via the OS settings to hide it for all those who still don’t like the notch.

Another aspect of the display is the super full view display with the 19:9 aspect ratio it comes with. The screen itself is an IPS 6.2 inch, resulting in a 720 x 1520 pixels resolution.

    Battery and Camera

When it comes to the battery life of phones, TECNO Mobile does well, especially with the Spark Series, considering their very budget friendly price.

The Spark 3 comes with a 3,500mAh capacity battery and if you are going to run the Android Go edition of most of the popular apps, then you should expect up to a full day of battery life. This however also depends on each user’s habits.

The Spark 3 does not come with a Fast Charge, however, this should not hamper a good charging rate from the phone’s charger.

The Camera configuration on the phones differs by the two available models. The 1GB RAM and 2GB RAM Models of the phone have a 13MP AI Camera and a 13MP Dual Rear Camera respectively.

The front of both models, however, have the same 8MP camera.

    Hardware and Software

The two variants of the Tecno Spark 3 can mainly be differentiated in the hardware area.

    • The 1GB Model uses a  MediaTek MT6580 Chipset whiles
    • The 2GB Model runs on a MediaTek Helio A22 (MT6761) chipset.

The same can be said about the software department with respect to the operating system they both come with.

    • The 1GB Model of the Tecno Spark 3 is run on Android 8.1 Oreo (Go Edition)
    • The 2GB Model, on the other hand, goes higher with Android 9.0 Pie

The 16 GB of space provided can also be expanded via an SD Card (up to 32 GB).

The phones, however, don’t support 4G so you might have to look at other 4G phones if that is your priority.

Difference between Tecno Spark 2 and Tecno Spark 3

Fans of Infinix Mobility will be thrilled to know that the Infinix S4 (aka Infinix Hot S4), the successor to last years’ popular Infinix S3 is now available.

What makes the Infinix S4 special is that it is the first device from Infinix to have Android 9.0 out of the box.

That’s not the only first for the Infinix S4. The design has a waterdrop-shaped notch at the top of the display and behind it, there is the vertically lined triple rear camera set up.

    Features of the Infinix S4

    Design and Display

Looking at the front of the phone, the full view 6.2-inch Full HD+ display with the waterdrop notch is at once noticeable. A closer look at the front also reveals the camera embedded inside the notch.

Looking behind the phone, the glossy look is evident with the camera sensors and fingerprint sensors taking their place at the top right corner rear and just above the Infinix logo on the S4.

Just like most Infinix phones nowadays, the S4 has the power and volume adjustment buttons on the right-hand side.

    Battery

The Infinix S4 comes with a non-removable 4000 mAH battery. Officially, standby times have not been released.

However, judging from the performance of other Infinix Phones, the battery should be able to last a full day after a 100% charge.

The S4 also supports fast charge so you can be sure to have your phone up and ready in a short period of time. No need to do an overnight charging of the device.

    Camera

The camera set up of the Infinix S4 is likely what a lot of prospective buyers are most interested in at this point.

Firstly,  it is important to note again that it is the first Infinix phone to sport a triple camera set up at the rear.

The rear camera lenses of the S4 are aligned vertically and below them is a Quad-LED flash for effective subject illumination where the existing lightening is not enough.

Housed in the water-drop notch on the front is a 32MP selfie camera. The camera comes with the following features: Portrait mode, Auto-HDR, Geo-tagging, Touch focus, Face detection, Panorama and 1080P @ 30fps.

    Performance

The Infinix S4 is powered by the MediaTek Helio P22 SoC with four cores of the Cortex-A53 processor clocking up to a speed of 2.2GHz. On the software side, it runs the latest Android 9.0 Pie with the latest version of the Infinix XOS Skin – v5.0 Cheetah

The gamers and high graphics users are not left out with a PowerVR GE8320 GPU on board to support all gaming needs at a reasonable speed and quality.

Event: Product School Meetup – B2B or B2C

The first Product School Meetup that held on February 2nd was amazing, to say the least. We had the amazing Chidi Nwaogu, the CEO of Publiseer and the eclectic Nana Kwabena (Kobby), a key business developer for Leti Arts. They shared from their wealth of experience and highlighted the key areas to consider in the journey towards achieving Product-Market Fit.

The event attracted Product Managers, Design Thinking Experts, Software Developers, Co-founders and CEOs and product enthusiasts who were very excited at the opportunity of talking about Products.

For this edition, we have Nana Akoto Agyapong, a Senior Product Manager at Huawei. He will be providing insight into a critical aspect every business needs to consider; Should the business target individuals B2C (Business-to-Customer) or businesses B2B (Business-to-Business)? Customer segmentation is critical as it determines the kind of Marketing, Branding and Positioning required to make a business successful. The event is scheduled to hold on Saturday, 27th of April 2019 by 10 am at MEST Africa, 20 Aluguintugui, East Legon, Accra.

Nana Akoto Agyapong is a commercial management professional with experience that spans across sales and distribution, business development, digital marketing, segment marketing, customer support, customer experience and product development.

He has a Bachelor of engineering degree from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology and an Executive MBA (Marketing) from the University of Ghana, Legon.

He has occupied several commercials roles, notably, Segment Manager for Vodafone X. He is currently the Senior Product Manager at Huawei Ghana overseeing Software solutions on MTN and Vodafone.

He occasionally consults in a commercial capacity for firms including Comsol Consulting, Hypenet Marketing, SWED Consulting, African Schools Online, Techimage Limited and Echohouse Limited.
