    Whenever you buy a new Apple device, you get a warranty card that is included in the box. The warranty is an agreement that is made between the buyer and Apple that once the device gets a fault during the stated period, you have the right to send it back to Apple.

    This could include a discount on the repair or even replacement of your Apple device with a new one. Once there’s a jailbreak on your iPhone, there’s a high chance that the iPhone’s warranty could be terminated when you send it to Apple.

    As a result, you may be asked to pay for the entire cost of the repair or might even be rejected access to repairs. Considering the prices of iPhones on the market it’s advisable not to risk this warranty service.

    Inability to apply future software updates

    Without technology, before you can communicate with someone outside your town you need to go and buy paper, write your letter and send it to the post office for them to mail it to the recipient. This could take over 3 months before your recipient receives the letter.

    After that, it will take another three (3) months for you to receive a reply from your sender. Imagine that you are sick and you need help from your elder brother who is outside your locality, what do you think will happen to you by the time you get the reply?

    You would have been dead by the time the reply comes. Currently, you can compose an email and in less than 30 seconds, the recipient will receive it in his/her email. This means that comparing it with the 6 months in the olden days, you can send and receive over 1,000 emails.

    Travel long distances with animals

    In the olden days, before you can travel a long distance you needed to have an animal you can sit on. The most commonly used animals were horses and donkeys. Can you imagine how long it would take a horse to travel from Accra to Kumasi?

    How would they have been tested or how will people in critical care be taken off. Technology has indeed made a positive influence on the health sector all over the world.  If people are put on ventilators or samples are being tested, we have the technology to thank for.

    Education is one of the main sectors that have benefited from technology. From the introduction of laptops to e-learning, you can see that technology has indeed made a positive influence on the world.

    No electricity

    Finally, where would we have gotten electricity in the world without technology? In Ghana, for instance, over 60% of the population has access to electricity and can use it for their day-to-day activities.

    Also, almost all the major companies in the world use electricity in one way or the other. Some of these are the manufacturing companies, food processing companies, media companies, sports companies, etc.

    All these companies wouldn’t have existed without technology and if they all exist today, we have to thank technology.

    Also, the interesting thing is that it is completely free and you get free analytics (this is not available on other platforms). You can download the free Anchor app from the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store.

    Choose the best microphone

    The best microphone is what is going to get your listeners to get stuck when they first listen to your show. No one is going to waste 10 – 15 minutes of their time to listen to “garbage” audio.

    To prevent this, you need to select a good microphone for your podcast. The most used and recommend microphone for your podcast is the Audio Technica 2100. This microphone costs less than $50 when you shop online.

    In case you don’t have the resources to buy the microphone, do not worry, you can find a quiet place in your room and then record with your earpiece or headphones.

    Record and edit your first episode

    After acquiring the microphone, earpiece, or headphone the next thing to do is to record your first episode. To do this, you can create an account on Anchor or use audio recording apps like Audacity, Audio Audition, or Garage Band.

    Once you’re done recording your audio, you can edit using the applications stated above. Additionally, there are websites where you can upload your audio and pay something small for editors to edit for you.

    Publish your first episode on your hosting platform

    Finally, after your audio goes through a thorough editing and pre-hearing the next thing to do is to publish your audio on your hosting platform.

    But among all these comparisons, there is one fact that can never be disproved unless Apple, the manufacturers of iPhone decide to change how they make iPhones and that is convenience. There exist no iPhone user who can challenge this fact.

    In this article, I am going to show you some of the reasons why Android phones are more convenient than iPhones. The points raised in this article can be testified by both Android and iPhone users after reading through this interesting article.

    Easy and accessible Operating System

    This is where most Android users get to tease iPhone users. The Operating System (OS) for Android phones as everyone is aware is Android (it’s a little funny because the name of the phones was named after the OS).

    The Android OS is an open-source Operating System unlike iOS for iPhone users.  With the OS being open-sourced, Android users have the liberty of making several changes to their phones depending on their preferences.

    That is not the case on iOS where almost everything is decided by the manufacturers of the iPhone. This means that with iPhones, you can only use what has been provided to you by Apple (whether you like it or not).

    Comparing these two Operating Systems, i.e. Android and iOS, you can clearly see that Android phones are much more convenient than iPhones.

    Customization

    Similar to the Operating System, Android users due to the open-source operating system are able to completely customize their phones without any restriction.

    With Android phones, you can change your launcher from the regular Android launcher to other third-party launchers including iPhone launcher.  Do you want your phone to look like a computer? Yes, that is also possible; you can even change your phone’s launcher to a windows launcher.

    There are also third-party keywords with different designs that can be used on your Android phones for chatting or any other thing you will need the keyboard for.

    All these features are not available for iPhone users because they are restricted to what they have been provided by the OS manufacturer.

    Easy expansion of the Storage Capacity

    For iPhone users, the storage capacity of your iPhone is what you will have to use until you upgrade your iCloud storage plan or decide to buy a new iPhone. That is not the case with Android phones.

    With Android phones, you can choose to buy a phone with 16GB storage and upgrade the storage to any size you want, 16GB, 32GB, 64GB, etc. To do this all you need to do is to buy a Memory Card at a one-time price, unlike iPhone where you need to pay monthly.

    There are several alternatives of Hardware

    Android phones have several alternatives for hardware whenever you go to the market to shop for hardware. In terms of headphones, there are over 50 trusted brands you could choose from; also in terms of the charger, battery, etc., there are trusted and genuine alternatives available for you.

    With iPhones, the only thing you can buy is the products that were produced by Apple. Although you can opt for some other brands, in order to enjoy optimum pleasure, you need to buy the products that were manufactured by Apple.

    This makes Android phones more convenient and there’s always competition from the other brands thereby causing them to manufacture authentic products.

    Low price and affordability

    The last item on my list today is low price and affordability of Android phones. For the past few years, there has never been a time where an iPhone cost the same as its Android contender; the iPhone is always expensive than the Android phone.

    So who will spend more money on what they could get from somewhere at a cheaper price? There’s an exception of only a few who will do that. This always leads people to buy more Android phones rather than buying iPhones at an expensive price.

    Have you ever thought of what to look out for when buying a new or used iPhone? Most people just think about buying an iPhone without considering what they need to look out for before they make a decision whether to buy that particular iPhone or not.

    There have been complaints from several people who have been scammed in one way or the other by purchasing fake iPhones. I recently heard the story of someone who bought a fake iPhone from a trusted retail shop (the name won’t be mentioned in this article).

    As a result, I decided to write this article to guide you through some of the most important things you need to look out for when buying a new or used iPhone. On the downside, most of the points that will be used in this article will be more beneficial to those who are buying used iPhones.

    That notwithstanding, those buying new iPhones could equally benefit from some of the points geared towards those buying used iPhone. The only thing is that you will need to remove the phone from the box it’s in.

    What to look out for when buying a new or used iPhone

    Verify the IMEI number

    The International Equipment Identity (IMEI) number is a unique number given to each iPhone and can be used to identify a valid device and can stop a stolen phone from working. The IMEI number of an iPhone is a 15-digit number that can be visibly seen at the back of every iPhone.

    In order to know whether the body of the iPhone truly matches the iPhone you’re buying, there’s a way you can verify this on your iPhone or the internet. But, I will be teaching you how to do it using the same iPhone.

    To verify that the IMEI number on the body of the iPhone matches the one on the software:

    Go to Settings on your phone > Tap on General > Tap on About > Scroll down to IMEI and crosscheck it with the one at the back of your iPhone. Once the two IMEIs match then it means the body of the iPhone truly matches the software of the iPhone.

    To make it more interesting, all the recent iPhones beginning with the iPhone 6S have their IMEI number on the SIM card tray.

    Check the Health of the Battery

    To me, this is the most important check you need to perform when buying either a new or used iPhone. This is because the battery health is going to determine how long your iPhone is going to last after charging, and that weak battery health means buying a new battery at a fee.

    Except for the iPhone 3G, 4, 4C, 5 …SE, all other iPhones have a way of checking the health of your iPhone’s battery (Beginning with the iPhone 6). The steps involved are listed below:

    • Tap on Settings
    • Tap on Battery
    • Select Battery Health

    The percentage stated in the Maximum Capacity Section of the screen is the health of the iPhone’s battery.

    Since the highest percentage is 100, any other figure around this figure could be worth buying.

    Check out for Water Damage

    Apple and iPhone have shown the world on several occasions that they are indeed one of the leading names when it comes to technology. As such, iPhones have a very unique feature that allows you to check the water damage of the iPhone.

    On the fun side, you don’t need any special knowledge or software to check this because iPhones have a Liquid Contact Indicator (LCI) which changes colour ones there’s a water contact.

    This means that the colour of the indicator will change ones an amount of water enters your iPhone. To perform this check on your iPhone, you simply need to look out for a red or pink (depending on the type of iPhone) colour on the SIM tray slot.

    Below are some of the indications on some of the different classes of iPhone:

    For iPhone 5, 5C, 5S, SE, you will find a red dot on the SIM tray slot.

    iPhone 6, 6 plus, 6S plus, you will find a red mark on the SIM tray slot.

    For iPhone 8 and above, you will find a red line on the SIM tray slot.

    Confirm the iPhone isn’t locked to Ghanaian Carrier

    This process involves checking whether Ghanaian SIM can work on the iPhone. This is not that relevant but it’s advisable to buy an unlocked iPhone rather than buying a locked one which you will unlock or use a Gevey SIM at a charge.

    There are some things you need to look out for. Some of these are already self-explanatory and does not need any explanation. Some of these other things you need to check are:

    • Check whether the Touch ID and the home button are working properly.
    • Test the screen, speakers, microphone, ports, and most importantly the camera.
    • Check whether the storage capacity matches the one on the system. To do this, Go to Settings > General > iPhone Storage and you will find the actual storage capacity of the iPhone.

    How to Play PES 2017 With PES 2021 Features on Your PC

    There are two (2) main ways that I’m going to discuss in this article. One of the methods can be used for only original PES games and the other could be used for both original and non-original games.

    How to Play PES 2017 With PES 2021 Features on Original PES Games Using the Live Update Feature

    As stated in the heading, this feature is only available for original PES games. But what are the original PES games? Original PES games are the PES games that were bought from Konami (creators of PES and Winning Eleven) either officially or through third-party platforms and outlets.

    To use this feature, you need to have an internet connection (a strong connection is recommended) before you launch the game on your PC. Once you launch the game, you can quickly start an exhibition match and wait for the game to implement live updates.

    Once the live updates are implemented, the team name, squad list, face and hairstyle of players will be updated to the latest edition of PES at the time of the updates.

    How to Play PES 2017 With PES 2021 Features Using Patch

    This method is the one that I use for my PES 2017 on my low specs PC. I started using this method in 2018 and have stuck with it since.

    What is a Patch? A patch is an application that is installed on your PC (inside the game folder) to update the details of the games with a lot of features. Some of these are stadiums, scoreboards, player names, face and hairstyle, balls, jerseys, and a host of others.

    To use the patch for PES 2017 on your PC, you’ll need to download the patch from the internet. There are several patches available on the internet but the one I use and recommend is Smoke Patch.

    The reason why I recommend this type of patch is because it updates the data of every single team that is available on the game. This includes anthems, and even commentary and call names.

    When installing this patch on your PC, you need to install the files in the download folder of the PES 2017. This folder could be found by going through Programs Files (x64)>Pro Evolution Soccer>Download. Also, you will be asked to state whether the game is original or not.

    Once the installation is done, launch your PES 2017 and enjoy 2021 features on your PES 2017.
